High School Program

For over 40 years, Coquitlam College has been providing a quality high school program, allowing students direct entry to universities across Canada and North America.

Our students have easily transitioned to studies at prestigious Canadian universities such as the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria, the University of Northern British Columbia and the University of Toronto as well as other degree-granting post-secondary institutions in British Columbia.

Coquitlam College high school programs are accredited by the British Columbia Ministry of Education.

Students completing their high school studies at Coquitlam College are eligible to take university transfer courses for high school equivalency. This dual credit option grants students both university-transfer credits and high school graduation credit.

Three semesters per calendar year allow students an accelerated path to graduation and a fast-track to post-secondary studies.

The programs offered at Coquitlam College are approved by the Ministry of Education and Child Care, the Ministry of Advanced Education, and the Degree Quality Assessment Board. Coquitlam College maintains updated annual Letters of Credit as prescribed by each Ministry and complies with bonding requirements as defined in sections 12-17 of the Independent School Regulation.

University Transfer Program

Coquitlam College specializes in preparing students to excel at North American Universities

University Transfer allows students the flexibility to start their university studies in one program or at one institution and complete it at another. Students are able to explore a variety of courses based on their own interests at the first- and second- year university level.  Importantly, the credits received allow students to either complete their studies at Coquitlam College through our two-year Associate of Arts Degree or continue at another institution throughout North America to complete the final requirements of their Bachelor Degree.

Our University Transfer program caters to the ambitions of every student, whether the area of interest is Communications, Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a variety of other areas of study within the Faculty of Arts. Coquitlam College students have the option to complete or to continue their studies by applying for transfer to any of the colleges or universities listed on the B.C. Transfer Guide. Students, both local and international, who don’t meet entrance requirements set by the universities can begin their post-secondary studies at Coquitlam College.

Our Student Advisors are available to help answer students’ questions about transfer within or outside of British Columbia. They can help students who are not yet certain of their academic or career goals find a path to their future.
